Brussels sprouts with Garlic chili oil - Asian vegan starters

Hi there! This is my recipe for a perfect Asian starters which is also very healthy! Lets make every simple meal special and easy!

Ingredients + Things needed -

1. Brussels sprouts

2. avocado oil + olive oil

3. salt, pepper

4. big spoon or presser (Amazon link)

5. baking tray + paper

6. chopped green onion

7. chopped garlic

8. powdered red chillis

9. Fermented bean paste (optional)

10. sesame seeds (optional)


Preparation time - 10 minutes

Cooking time - 35 minutes

  • Take Brussels sprouts and wash them in running water.

  • Then add them to a pot of boiling water with some salt and cook for 5-10 mins.

  • Once boiled, drain excess water and add it into a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  • Press the Brussels sprouts with a big spoon or presser.

  • Add salt, pepper, and olive oil and mix well.

  • Then bake it at 450F for 20-25 mins in a 10 min preheated oven.

Chilli oil + garlic prep:

  • Take some oil and heat it in a pot.

  • Then add chopped garlic and fermented bean paste. Bean paste is optional.

  • Then add some lemon juice or vinegar

  • Mix well and cook until the chili aroma spreads.

  • Chilli Oil with garlic ready!!!

  • Once the Brussels sprouts are baked, add the cooled down chilli oil on it.

  • Then top it with green onions chopped, sesame seeds and serve! Enjoy this special Asian starter! :)
