A South Indian version of Dhokla made with love and besan or Gram chickpea flour. Let's try this amazing steamed cake. You will surely love it :)
Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 15 -20 mins
Ingredients:
1 cup yogurt
2 cups besan or chickpea gram flour
Pinch of salt + citric acid
1/4 TSP baking soda
chili powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, black salt
1 TSP finely chopped green chilis
Recipe to make Gluten-free Paratha:
Mix besan flour with yogurt in a bow with a pinch of salt and citric acid.
We used 3 cups of water with 2 cups of flour to get the consistency shown in the video.
Next, add 1/4 TSP baking soda to this and mix well.
Meanwhile, keep the steamer ready and heated. Now add this batter into small cups and steam for about 15 to 20 mins.
The cakes are ready to savor. They look fluffy and tasted yummy.
