Thandai Recipe: Summer Drink

Thandai is a summer drink which cools the system. It is blend of nuts which contain healthy fats, fennel seeds which cools the body, poppy seed which is good for brain, black pepper which is antacid, sugarstone instead of sugar .

It prevents ulcers.




Ingredients :

1. Almond (1/2 cup)

2. Dry grapes(1/4 cup)

3. Fennel Seed (1/4 cup)

4. Poppy Seed (1/4 cup)

5. Pistachio (1/4 cup)

6. Watermelon Seed (1/4 cup)

7. Sugarstone or Mishri instead of Sugar (450 gm.)

8. Black Peeper (1/4 cup)

9. Saffron (few strands)

10. Cardamom ( 3 piece)

11.1 tea spoon ginger powder.


Preparation Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time : 30 minutes


Recipe : Soak mix everything in 1and 1/2 glass of water for 6 hours .

Now grind in mixi in smooth paste using same water.

Put sugarstone and 1 glass water in pan, 1/2 cup water and keep on the gas at high flame.

When it started to boil , put the paste in it and keep stitring it.

After 5 mintes , keep the gas at medium flame. Now add 1 tea spoon ginger powder and saffron
