Gluten-free Aloo Paratha by Tulita aahar | Gluten-free recipes

Who does not love a nice and hot Aloo Paratha? Some of our bodies do not like Gluten so why not make a gluten-free version which is also surprisingly healthier. Let's get right into it then...

Preparation time: 40 mins

Cooking time: 15 mins


Ingredients:

  1. Ghee/oil as needed

  2. 1 cup bajra or finger millet

  3. Pinch of salt

  4. Boiled and mashed potatoes

  5. 1/4 TSP grated coconuts

  6. chili powder, garam masala, dry mango powder, turmeric powder, asafoetida, black salt

  7. 1 TSP finely chopped green chilis


Recipe to make Gluten-free Paratha:

  1. Add a pinch of salt and a cup of bajra or finger millet in a bowl.

  2. Sieve it and then add water to combine the dough until smooth.

  3. Brush some oil or ghee on the surface and let it rest closed for about 30-40 mins.

  4. Now take some boiled or mashed potatoes and add a TSP of salt, chili powder and garam masala, followed by, 1/4 turmeric powder, dry mango or amchur powder, asafoetida and black salt.

  5. Next to the potato spice mix add 1 TSP of finely chopped green chilis. Mix this well and this forms the filling for the paratha.

  6. Now roll out the dough as shown in the video and then add some potato filling and flatten further.

  7. Bake it on a pan with ghee or butter or oil. When crisp serve with yogurt, pickles or just the way they are :)
