Healthy evening chaat recipe

Preparation time: 20 mins


Ingredients:

  1. 5 sliced tomatoes

  2. 1 cup chopped coriander leaves

  3. 1/2 cup mint leaves

  4. 1 chili, 1/4 TSP minced ginger

  5. Salt

  6. 1/4 TSP coriander powder, jeera/cumin powder, dry mango powder

  7. Finely chopped 1 carrot and 1 onion

  8. Cumin powder, chaat masala

  9. Peanuts (salted and roasted)

  10. Bhujia sev (optional)

  11. Finely chopped coriander leaves


Recipe to make Coriander-mint chutney/sauce (Green sauce):

  1. For this chutney, take 1 cup chopped coriander leaves + 1/2 cup mint leaves

  2. To this add, 1 chili, and 1/4 TSP ginger. Add salt according to taste (we used 1/4 TSP).

  3. Then to make it tangy let us add 1/4 TSP coriander powder, jeera/cumin powder, dry mango powder each.

  4. Blend it until it forms a fine paste in the mixer, add some water if the paste is too thick.

Recipe to make Tomato chaat:

  1. Slice 5 tomatoes in circular shapes. (slices)

  2. Add a generous amount of green sauce on top of this.

  3. Add the finely chopped carrot and onion mix on top of the sliced tomatoes, as shown in the video.

  4. Sprinkle a pinch of salt to these slices

  5. Add a pinch of red chili powder for a spicy twist.

  6. Now add a pinch of cumin powder and chaat masala

  7. Top it with peanuts and Bhujia Sev (optional). Garnish with fresh finely chopped coriander leaves and enjoy.
