Healthy evening chaat recipe
Preparation time: 20 mins
Ingredients:
5 sliced tomatoes
1 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/2 cup mint leaves
1 chili, 1/4 TSP minced ginger
Salt
1/4 TSP coriander powder, jeera/cumin powder, dry mango powder
Finely chopped 1 carrot and 1 onion
Cumin powder, chaat masala
Peanuts (salted and roasted)
Bhujia sev (optional)
Finely chopped coriander leaves
Recipe to make Coriander-mint chutney/sauce (Green sauce):
For this chutney, take 1 cup chopped coriander leaves + 1/2 cup mint leaves
To this add, 1 chili, and 1/4 TSP ginger. Add salt according to taste (we used 1/4 TSP).
Then to make it tangy let us add 1/4 TSP coriander powder, jeera/cumin powder, dry mango powder each.
Blend it until it forms a fine paste in the mixer, add some water if the paste is too thick.
Recipe to make Tomato chaat:
Slice 5 tomatoes in circular shapes. (slices)
Add a generous amount of green sauce on top of this.
Add the finely chopped carrot and onion mix on top of the sliced tomatoes, as shown in the video.
Sprinkle a pinch of salt to these slices
Add a pinch of red chili powder for a spicy twist.
Now add a pinch of cumin powder and chaat masala
Top it with peanuts and Bhujia Sev (optional). Garnish with fresh finely chopped coriander leaves and enjoy.
