Makhana or Lotus seeds Recipe

Makhana is a very good source of Magnesium, Phosphorous, and Potassium. This high nutrition value of makhanas makes them a perfect and healthy snack. Being low in calories, makhanas promote weight loss, while their high calcium content makes them good for bones. It is known to prevent inflammation and help in protecting the heart.

Ingredients to make Makhana:
Makhana or lotus seeds - 2 cups
2 TSPs ghee
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp chaat masala
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1/4 tsp pepper
Preparation time: 2 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins
Recipe for the Makhana-
Take 2 cups of Lotus Seeds or Makhana.
Switch on the flame, and add 1.5 TSPS of Refined Butter or Oil
Turn the flame to low heat and mix the lotus seeds in them and roast them.
Now after 5 mins of roasting them add the spices and mix well.
Masala is mixed well and looks crispy.
It took 10 minutes for the lotus seeds to roast completely, now the gas can be switched off.
