Fun fact - You can store khakras for a month at room temperature without them going bad!

Ingredients:

  1. ghee/clarified butter/oil/butter

  2. leftover rotis (preferably made from whole wheat flour)

  3. red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, dry mango powder, garam masala

Preparation time: 10 mins

Spice level: Medium

For the spicy coating on the Khakra (Masala):

  • Take a pinch each (salt, dry mango powder, garam masala)

  • Take 0.25 TSP each (red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder)

Recipe:

  • Take 2 leftover rotis or naan bread from last night's dinner (You can also make them fresh and follow the process as discussed).

  • Heat the pan and then place the roti on it under low gas flame and bake it for 2 to 3 minutes until it hardens a little. Do this for both the rotis.

  • Now brush some ghee or oil over the khakra and sprinkle the masala

Enjoy a healthy breakfast or an evening snack and your taste buds will love them! Write to us in the comments and let us know if you have any recipes you'd like me to make and discuss!

With lots of good wishes - Tulita aahar!
