Hi there! This is my recipe for a perfect quick and instant dessert for your loved ones! It only takes a little effort and thought to make someone feel special.
Ingredients -
1. 10 crushed oreo biscuits
2. 1 big bar of melted white chocolate
3. Decorative balls usually made of sugar for dessert decoration (silver dragées), colorful sprinkles as well
Preparation time - 5 minutes
Recipe - YouTube video
Take 10 Oreos and crush them into a coarse powder.
Take broken pieces of white chocolate and melt them in a re-heat setting of the microwave oven for about 1.5 mins or using a double boiler method.
Next mix milk with oreo crumbles and make pops on sticks.
Then dip these pops in the melted white chocolate and coat them well.
Next, sprinkle the decorative balls of sugar and colorful sprinkles, and voila! Enjoy!
Double boiler method significance -
A double boiler is a kitchen tool used to apply indirect heat to cooking food. It looks like two vessels stacked on top of one another. Water is placed in the lower pan, which gets heated directly from the burner and the steam from the boiling water provides indirect heat to cook the food in the 2nd vessel.
It is very simple to make this setup at home. This indirect heat helps to heat - and melt - the chocolate more gradually, which greatly reduces the risk of overheating the chocolate.
Double boiler method Setup -
Heat water in a saucepan and place chocolate in a mixing bowl
Ensure the bowl covers the saucepan or else place support as shown in the video
Stir until the chocolate starts to melt
This gives smooth melted chocolate
