Puffed rice Upma or Bhel upma - Instant Breakfast recipe

Ingredients:
1. Tempering essentials
asafoetida
black cumin seeds and cumin seeds
mustard seeds
chopped green chillis - 2
oil
2. green curry leaves
3. salt
4. water
5. tomato cut into bite-size pieces
6. carrots grated, 1 cup
7. turmeric, red chilli, garam masala powder
8. mint powder
9. puffed rice
Preparation and Cooking time: 10 - 15 mins

Tempering:
In a pan heat 2TBSP vegetable or cooking oil on low flame.
Add 0.25 TSP each of cumin and mustard seeds.
Recipe cont:
Soak 2 cups puffed rice in water until it softens. Then drain the excess water when it softens.
Add 2 TBSP oil, chopped onions, and green peas and saute it until it browns. This is done so that the onions do not give an aftertaste and are cooked well.
Add few green curry leaves. They have a lot of health benefits.
Next, add chopped tomatoes and grated carrots.
Mix well and add 1 TSP salt and 0.25 TSP turmeric powder, 1 TSP red chili powder, 0.5 TSP garam masala. Top it with some peanuts and 0.5 TSP mint powder.
Add our soft and fluffy puffed rice now. Mix gently and thoroughly.
